  19.     DIAG.EXE is helpful in assuring a fully functional system when 
  20.     installing the adapter, or when the adapter operation is in question.  
  21.     DIAG.EXE will display the current configuration of your Advanced 3270 
  22.     Adapter.  The default shared memory address on the adapter is:
  23.  
  24.         CE000 - CFFFF
  25.  
  26.     If this memory address is in conflict with another adapter, you can 
  27.     modify the starting address of this 8K buffer by running DIAG.EXE 
  28.     using the following command line switch:
  29.  
  30.         /M=xx
  31.  
  32.     Where  xx  is replaced by the starting memory segment address (a two
  33.     digit, even hexadecimal number).  If you set the starting address to 
  34.     a location already in use by another adapter, your 3270 Adapter may 
  35.     need reset (requiring a cold boot).
  36.  
  37.     For example, typing the following at the DOS prompt:
  38.  
  39.         DIAG /M=E0
  40.  
  41.     will set the base memory segment address to  E0000.  
  42.  
  43.     Interrupt testing is enabled by default.  If you disable interrupts
  44.     by setting switch 2 ON, you will fail the IBM I/O test.  To bypass
  45.     the interrupt testing part of the IBM I/O test, use the: 
  46.     
  47.         /N

  49.     command line switch.

  51.     Follow the on-screen instructions to test the adapter(s) installed in 
  52.     your system.  See your Installation Manual for more information.

  59.     This file is an adapter configuration file for the Advanced 3270 
  60.     Coax Adapter.  This file is used with the Compaq ISA Configuration 
  61.     Utility, ISAC.EXE. If you have this utility, the Advanced 3270 Coax 
  62.     Adapter can be added to the database by entering the following line:
  63.  
  64.         BDADD !AMC8103.CFG
  65.  
  66.     BDADD.EXE is another utility provided by Compaq for adding adapter 
  67.     definition files to the database.  Note that neither ISAC.EXE or 
  68.     BDADD.EXE are supplied by Attachmate.
